Depersonlization is when a person senses that they're not real. They believe that they are temporarily lost.

Derealization is when a person's sense of the reality of the outside world is temporarily lost.

Both of these can be either caused by hallucinogenic drugs, or can be a precursor to other psychotic disorders like Schizophrenia or Dissociative Disorders.

Depersonalization has to do with one's environment being otherworldly and unreal. Derealization has to do with one feeling that they themselves are not of this world, like an out of body experience.
