I got these fish:
2 neon tetras
3 glowlight tetras
3 guppies, 1 male 2 female
3 harlequin rasboras
2 algae eaters
2 sunset coral dwarf platy
I know I am overcrowding and I keep on telling my parents, but they won't listen! They won't let me get another tank and the only other tank we have is my brother's which he hasn't used yet and my parents won't let me use it either. It's have a 32 gallon. My parents won't let me sell or return the fish. They certainly won't let me kill them. I don't know what to do. Please help and only serious answers please! If you put practical answers I'm going to give you a low rating and report you as spam!

My opinion is yes you are soon going to be overcrowding your tank. As the fish you have get larger, they will need more room than you can give them. Why not print these answers that you have gotten over the last few days and show them to your parents? Explain that you want to be a good pet owner and ask for permission to donate a few fish to your school. Most likely at least one teacher has a fish tank in her room. I would suggest getting rid of at least ne of the two algae eaters as they get the largest of any of your fish. It would also be a good idea to pick either the guppies or the platys to donate as too many livebearers means too many babies and that will over crowd your tank even worse.

Is the 32 gallon yours or your brothers? I am unclear on this. What size tank are your fish in right now? I would suggest having at least a 20-25 gallon aquarium with the fish you have. If you think you have overcrowded, I'm not sure why you kept buying fish...

Your tank isn't over crowded. I went back and looked at one of your other post because you didnt say how big your tank was. So based on you having an 18 gallon... Since you can have 1 fish per gallon of water. You only have 15 fish total and bottom feeders don't count. So that only makes 13 fish so actually you can add a few fish if you would like. Hopefully this helped.

I don't know the individual fish by what habitat they require, but that many fish can foul the water by their own excrement and then they will all die. You should contact an aquarium store that handles nothing but fish and get their input; then suggest that either you give some of the fish to someone else or get the proper sized tank.

Your supposed to have one gallon of water per square inch of fish. You could balance out your tank by adding some real plants. It shouldn't get too mossy because you have algae eaters. Watch the guppies, they breed fast and have a lot of babies!

Personally, I don't think you are overcrowding. Your tank is a 32 gallon, and with proper filtration should be able to support the fish that you have named in the above. Regular partial water changes are important, but are important in any sized tank.
OK..I assumed your tank was a 32 gallon.... Why do you mention that in your question? Your tank is partially overstocked, but with proper care and maintenance, your fish don't have to die. With good filtration and regular water changes, they can still be healthy. Maybe you could give them to someone you know if you are not able to provide them with proper care?

hmm...I would say your not over crowding because i have:
4 Tetra
3 Guppies
1 Algae Eater
in a 5 gallon tank..
So .. you may or may not be overcrowding.. But I could be wrong so ya. If your parents let you.. I was thinking you could give some to your friends

You need 3 more neons, 2 more glowlights, and 2 more rasboras. These are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of 5 or more to reduce stress. It is heavily stocked, but not to a deadly point (assuming your algae eaters aren't common plecos). As long as you have a good filter, you will get away with 15 tetra and 5 livebearers.

Just to let you know, your tank is not two crowded, they say 2 fish per gallen is the usual norm..but what you don't need is 2 algae eaters, they compete for food and the tank you have does not need 2 of them,I,d get rid of one of those and you should be ok..just don't buy anymore fish!!
Good luck and always keep your tank clean..you should beA-ok!
