I was told that congress was passing 1022 awb that will make it illegal for ak47s to be shipped into the country but the ones already in the country were legal.
I asked this question already but wasnt clear, I know automatics are illegal (unless you register them), and i know ak47s are stripped and reasembled here. But all I really wanted to know is should I buy one know before the prices rise?

I beleive that even now it is illegal to ship AK47's into the country but I know that the only way you can get one now is broken down, unless you buy from a private seller

It doesn't matter. It's easy to take almost any semi automatic rifle and fire it fully automatic. It takes practice but I've done it on many occasions and with many different rifles but the caliber has to be bigger than a .22 caliber.
