Yes. Mg+H2SO4=MgSO4+H2.

Mg (s) + H2S04------ yields MgS04 + H2 (g) + heat

Both are very reactive reactants. This is an exothermic reaction. Hydrogen gas is formed. Avoid exposure to flame!
