I have 4 svchost.exe processes running in my system tray. Some are from NETWORK SERVICE, SYSTEM and LOCAL SERVICE. Why do I have multiple versions?

that's just windows xp for you, i have 6 of them - they're part of windows, called when needed by the operating system.

These are required for windows to operate at all times, sometimes you could see a few more than that.. Don't worry all system's have them running.. Good Luck
