I am right there with you buddy. People usually disappoint you, don't they? They can never live up to the standards that we hold, so we are constantly feeling disappointed in them. Don't feel bad, you are not alone by any means. I asked a very similar question not too long ago, and got a lot of positive feed back. There's nothing wrong with being the way you are, and if anyone tries to tell you there is...then they are just retarded!!!! Be proud of who you are and don't bother fighting it...it will just cause more grief. Who says spending most of your time alone is wrong?

Because most people are easily detestable, painfully contemptible, boringly plain, and outrageously idiotic. You don't want a social life because most of the players involved in such a life are terrible people. A social life would require you to socialize with such monsters and morons - not fun. I could provide several solutions to you, none of which are perfect:

Find the right people - start looking for a quality of friendship. A good social circle from where you can learn, grow, and contribute honestly. This is hard, and may even be near impossible, but if you can accomplish this, I promise you it will be worthwhile.

Lower your standards - go to a bar and watch a game, cheer loudly and obnoxiously (this is not recommended).

Examine your values - what do you value in life? What do you see as important? If having a social life can contribute to those values, and possibly your goals, you should be able to draw on the proper motivation to get yourself out there and networking. Otherwise, screw it.

Accept introversion - read some books. People suck. That doesn't have to be an awful thing. Whoever said being antisocial was bad? Actually, you haven't. So, maybe you don't even need suggestions.

Your online asking a bunch of strangers why your antisocial...Your not antisocial... If you were you would be all alone talking to no one. Plus maybe you just don't like people and you THINK your antisocial, thats what happens with me.

Because approx. 93% of the population of earth are not worth socializing with. And if you cant find the other 7% and haven't booked a ticket to space yet, just try and make some online friends. They are less threatening.

Could be that you are sufficiently angry or insecure to keep from turning inside out. How many people do you really trust ?
