The "N" word originally was coined from where Black people came from. The name for the country Niger in Africa was morphed into a derogatory word for a slave from Africa. It was used to degrade, embarass and harass black slaves. Today, many black people think it is ok for them to call their black friends the"N" word. They are free to do this, even though any non-black person uttering the same word could be charged with disorderly conduct, or worse (Example: a white guy gets into a street fight with a black man, and during the fight, he uses the "N" word and happens to get arrested) he would most certainly be charged with a hate crime. So, before ANYONE uses the "N" word, they really need to consider its origin and true meaning. The "N" word should either be restricted for all OR free for ALL to use.

Yes it is retarded. It started out as trying to claim the word back for themselves and to make it not a term of abuse. It has ended up in ignorance and stupidity. I hate it when anyone uses the N word.

Only the trash use that word...the gangsta wannabe's, the ghetto brats. Educated and productive people would never use that word....

My theory is if you are going to talk like a slave, you will be treated like one.
