I got the shot last fall and she didn't lol. Well, I'm glad she's doing good.

Is it cause I'm breast feeding?

You can probably attribute it to breastfeeding. As soon as your body was exposed to the virus, it began making antibodies to it. Your breastmilk actually contains more antibodies than your own blood! So as soon as you were exposed, and thus your baby too, she began receiving her own "vaccination" to the particular virus that you'd been exposed to. :)

It's common for breastfed babies to be the only ones in the house who don't catch something, or to catch a much milder, shorter-lasting version of whatever bug is going around. It's not a guarantee-- some babies have stronger immune responses than others to their mom's antibodies, but in general breastfeeding offers protection from the Crud. :)

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hopefully it will pass quickly and you can get back to enjoying your little princess!

yep. You could even breastfeed while you have the flu and she wouldn't get it. Amazing huh? Some doctors recommend nursing when sick to help keep babies immune.

The flu sticks, sorry you had it.

Yes, it probably is from being breastfed. Isn't that a beautiful thing?! You're giving her a precious gift!

Absolutely!
By breastfeeding you are giving her antibodies to anything that either of you has been exposed to!
Way to go mom!

Make sure that you stay well-hydrated while you are sick.
