New 4GB mini sdhc card not recognized by My T-mobile MDA phone?

I just purchased a new Transcend 4gb Mini SDHC card and my T-mobile MDA phone does not recognize this card. Tried using this on my Gateway computer with provided Mini SD adaptor and my Gateway computer also does not recognize or read this card.

Any Suggestions what I might be doing wrong.

When you insert it in the computer see if it shows up as a device. It can show up but you will not be able to open it or use it. If it appears, try to format it by right clicking on its icon and selecting format. Many cards must be formatted before they are recognized and able to use. If it does not show up, you can buy a usb card reader for $10 then you can format the card and see if it can be recognized by the MDA. Also make sure you have the latest firmware update to the MDA. I had to upgrade mine last year.

More than likely your phone nor your computer supports a card of this capacity. The technology is pretty new for the 4 gig cards. There should be some software updates for the MDA coming soon.

One of two things could be happening. 1. The card is defective, in which case you can get it replaced, or 2. it is new technology wiht old technology. The card readers have to actaully be designed to support that amount of memory, and since the memory card is newer (Hence the HC standard used) it might not work with your older phone and comptuer. So, look into the documentation for both and see if they support that high a capacity. If they do, the card is defective. If they don't, well, you have a very light paperweight at most. You might be able to return it if you have the reciept.

U recommend As exterior because that's a Card Micro SD is used by ability of All Samsung phones All New LG phones All New Nokia phones (From Nokia 6300 until eventually eventually the newest One) ================= Mini SD is used by ability of The old Nokia N-series (N70/N73)
