How do you copy a signal from a garage door/gate opener transmitor onto another one so that you can have two copys. I need to know if their is some device to copy the signal.

this is for a gate opener. Is their like a long range homelink device that could get the signal.

Not sure which one you have but most have a learn button under the light cover or on the back of the light housing. Press that button and then press the button of your 2nd remote and it will program it.

with a garage door you have to get the same type of remote and there is a red button on operator that you could press and when the light is solid hold the remote control button until the operator light goes on then off and once it does that your remote control button is programmed.
