I hate that, it's soo lame. People like completely steriotype other people by what they wear, and heck, it shouldn't count for anything. I mean, it's that way in my school, but there's a lot of nice, popular, pretty, smart girls that don't shop there at all, and they are some of the most interesting people you'll ever meet. I don't understand why people judge you and think you're 'cool' if you wear Hollister or Abercrombie, because usually, they turn out to be the people who are snobs and mean, no offense. Of course, they do have cute clothes, but girls and guys that have only Hollster and Abercrombie in their whole wardrobe?! Now thats is pretty insane.

I think it depends on what kind of place you live in. At my school, just because you wear all Abercrombie and Hollister and designer stuff it doesn't mean you're instantly popular. Some of my friends don't wear them but I really don't care. It's probably used as a "status symbol" in some schools just like how Louis Vuitton is supposedly a status symbol in the world of fashion (I just think the monogram canvas is cool). You can decide not to wear Abercrombie and Hollister. People shouldn't give you "special treatment" if you do either. All that really matters is if the person's nice or not. Like you could meet a really nice person that didn't wear Abercrombie or Hollister and shallow people would just say "Oh you can't be my friend because your clothes are cheap" or whatever.

special treatment from their peers or from teachers? I am sure its from other students, because teachers could care less what you wear as long as you pay attention. but anyway, the fact that its probably the kids with money that get all the new clothes is what gets peoples attention. Its the self absorbed kids that feel they have to wear expensive clothes to prove something. Clothes is clothes, i know it seems important now, but it really isnt. Focus on your education and let some other dummy spend their money on an item that will have no value after it's out of style.

I think it is more discrimination when you talk about THE MODELS. When you look at their models, and when you look at like American Eagle's models... AE's models aren't all blonde hair and blued eyes guys and girls.

But PEOPLE wearing THEIR clothes getting discriminated AGAINST? No. I think people pay attention to people who look more put together and clean dressed, not the brand.

I think they are. Im wanting to know why they only have certain sizes. I have friends who are bigger. They like the clothes as much as a skinny girl would.
