Its a common African American name. Its kind of equivalent to Sean. Its a nice name but has been used alooootttt
But to each there own. It is certainly not ugly like someone was saying. They apparently do not understand African American names.

as long as she likes it
after who is caring the child for nine month / at the moment it is her life that is in danger so the name should be her choice and no one else

To be honest, no. I know a woman who named her son that because she heard it in a commercial. She misunderstood the commercial and it was actually a dog breed (Keeshond). That is what I think of every time I hear the name. Sorry!
