Believe it or not- Baby Wipes! I have worked miracles with baby wipes- gets makeup off wedding dresses, have successfully removed coffee and blood from cotton. Seriously- when I do make up for someone's wedding- I never leave home without baby wipes. When I got married, I had red roses which, by the time I got to the church had terribly bled over my white dress! I got it all out with baby wipes and walked down the aisle like new!!

Good luck!

It actually helps some foundation stains if you use a liquid makeup remover on them. Get some on a cotton ball and soak the area, then let if sit for a minute, then dab it with a dampened sponge. Try to get the most out this way, then pretreat (Zout is a good one, but don't use it on anything delicate) and launder the item as usual.

If it's something like silk, you might be out of luck, but I'd still try the makeup remover. You might try liquid eyemakeup remover for something silk, because it's more gentle. And try not to mush the stain around as you try to dab it up. Don't launder silk afterwards unless it's something you usually launder. Try handwashing.

Also, don't put anything with a stain still on it into the dryer. It will set the stain and make it next to impossible to remove. Try the cleaning process over again until it has stopped improving.

As for foundation that doesn't stain, I use Monave mineral makeup, and it's terrific. Covers and lasts, but I've never marked anything with it. You can check it out at http://www.monave.com . Any mineral makeup would probably work, but I've tried several and Monave is my favorite, so I recommend it.

Good luck!
