Who else thinks pink floyd is the best rock band?

They're in contension with Motörhead.

Floyd is obviously the best in songwriting, there's absolutely no doubt about that (this coming from a major song writer). Their use of several different instruments and harmonic parts in their music has set them well above other bands while keeping things real and down-to-Earth (for the most part). They have a lot of great explorative works in music and their presence from the music scene will be missed by many.

Pink floyd is awesome i want more bands that will show the album story experience watching and listening to the wall reminds me of fantasia and how similar pink floyd is to classical music individual songs do not matter the whole is what is important creating emotions not dancing to the music sitting and listening. I would really love to see them live playing the wall

The Doors were a little better, but for English bands, Floyd is at least as good as Zeppelin. They are VERY far out, man...
