If you can find one that will work for the people in stead of the African Americans or just for his own profit, I think an African American wouldn't be any different than a white American. The color of ones skin shouldn't be a deciding factor in an election but the US just haven't found an African American that is good enough to be president...YET.

we are going to have a woman first - and if Hillary Clinton would not get elected in 2008 - it's going to be 2108 till now a woman is elected. and it would be a lengthy time after that till now an African-American is elected. There are too many those with deep down hidden racist emotions that could desire to maintain this u . s . from ever having a black president. the main suitable formulation for paying for elected: be a wealthy, white male with gruesome young little ones. in case you have never observed, the candidate with the ugliest young little ones is the single which gets elected.

Are they African or American? Don't you want a president where their American Citizenship and ALL the people of this nation are their main focus? I only care how they are going to govern all Americans and what there platform is. Color makes no difference.

I really don't see why not. The question is what is going to happen when Condi Rice runs for president. What are the democrats are going to do with her. Trust me the GOP has something up there sleeves on this up comming election. That would be a good race Hillary Clinton (D) vs Condi Rice (R)

i would not predict to see a big difference. african-americans are overall democrats, but there are more who are switching to being republicans. an african american president would not want to give so many 'handouts' to blacks, for it would degrade black americans and degrade the integrity of that president. i personally do not care what color a candidate is, i care about his/her ideas.

I dont approve of a white man running against a black man because too many people would bias their votes on color and not who would make the best decisions for the country.

Epidermal melanin shouldn't make any difference in how you vote. Anyone who decides on that basis, whether voting for or against a candidate based on race is a racist.
