A friend of mine was attacked (we think) a few days ago. She has no memory after a certain point in the night but nobody spiked her drink. She finally got home hours later with no pants, and was taken the hospital. She's under 18 so what do the hospital or police do? Are there tests or anything to see what happened (as in was she sexually assaulted) or will she have to try to remember?

they will not make her remember. most likely they will do a rape kit. this tests for any DNA left behing if she was assaulted, and runs it throught their database of offenders, and even guys at the party that she may remember talking to. but, they will not make her try to remember.

People can block out rape and assult. Its a coping mechanism. I can clearly remember the sexual abuse I suffered as a child
Hypnosis may help her remember, but it can be traumatic.
She needs to have a vaginal exam but she should have had one as soon as she was taken to hospital...are you sure they didnt do one?
Good luck and tell her to hang in there.
