Everywhere I go, I hear women talking about how hot or ugly a particular guy is. Why are they so obsessed with physical features? Why not look at the personality first? A lot of guys dig a girl's personality so why can't girls do the same?

Because guys put so much emphasis on looks, so girls do it now too. No matter what a guy says, there's no looking at personalities if the looks aren't there!

I don't know how you arrived at that, but I don't think women are "fixated" on men's looks. Just like men notice curvy, beautiful women, the women are apt to notice a brawny, handsome man more often than the average "joe" on the street. But I believe that women are looking for the same basic things men are. Humor, caring, gentleness, and that kind of thing. If a brawny, handsome man is stuck up, mean and uncaring, he doesn't have a snowball's chance in you know where.

I am very fixated on my own looks..I like to look good when I'm going out, and such...but when it comes to the opposite sex, I am not shallow nor superficial at all. If a guy can make me laugh, make me think, make me wonder, and make me wet :P, It doesn't matter to me. But a little cuteness in the face always helps :)

The personality is what gets my attention. He should have a decent apperance though. The way I see it, looks fade, and personality doesn't. Great question!
