Then why are people thinking about voting Hillary in 2008. She just let her husband get sucked off by any willing and able intern and stays with him!!!! Could you respect a person who lets their spouse walk all over them. Would you vote for them for city council nevermind the presidency of the US!?!

What matters is surely a persons proven abilities, as relevant to the position they seek.

Hilary's tolerance shows she is able to see that there are more important matters to the running of a state that whether or not her husband gets blow-jobs from his internees.

The thing is, it wasn't a situation of her getting walked all over. Their marriage isn't like the one you're in or want to be in someday. This is the problem, Hillary Clinton is so power hungry and such a political whore that she would do anything to get elected. She carpet-bagged her way into a NY Senate seat, but that was only because the New York City liberals, who are not representative of most American voters. This is why I don't respect her, it has nothing to do with her pathetic white trash husband.

As for her abilities.... what exactly are people referring to? The only abilities I can see are her chameleon and lying skills, to suit whatever crowd she's pandering to that day. What else, exactly, has she done?

This country is at a tipping point and badly in need of a real leader. If she were to get elected, she would push us over the cliff!

When I think of Hillary Clinton deciding to stay and work things out with her husband, it just reminds me of the many people I know who have done the same, through infidelity, through many trials in a marriage. It also occurs to me that it takes strength to stay in a marriage scarred by infidelity, more strength than it takes to call a divorce lawyer.

The only reason you can focus this question on Hillary and Hillary alone is the Lewinsky scandal. It's really none of our business, though the public has become hungry for these things. Rudy's scandalous personal life, how many divorces the candidates have between them. I really don't give a rat's behind. You have no idea how many Presidents have cheated on their wives - we know about some of them. JFK, Lyndon Johnson. The one you don't know about might be the one you're supporting, so decide exactly how much weight you want to give that.

Hillary's got my vote. I respect her and I see that she is an extremely intelligent and tough woman who has an excellent vision for this country, a realistic plan for Iraq, and a determination to return this country to a higher level of respect from our Allies and our enemies. She's going to keep at this healthcare problem until it is solved, and she's going to seriously address alternative energy solutions for this country. She and her husband's private life has suffered enough public exposure, and most of us just don't want or need to hear about it anymore.

EDIT: Just the facts: You really ought to change your name if you're going to keep spewing that story about Paul Harvey. Even he himself said that was a bunch of hooey - it has been debunked completely. Here everyone, read the debunking for yourself:

Infidelity is a matter between a husband and a wife and has no bearing on public life.

over 70% of men and 52% of women in America cheat on their spouse. That doesn't mean they cannot function, own businesses, sit on the bench, be lawyers, flip burgers.

Humans are flawed.

HELL NO!!

I have too much respect for myself as a woman and ANY public figure that allows this to happen time after time after time then stands in front of a National audience to claim she loves this man is dangerous. She's numb to self inflected wounds and she would do our Nation much damage.

I would tell my sister to leave her husband if he cheats on her time and time again. It's distrustful and shows no respect to the American families. How can you fix international problems when you can't even fix the problem with your spouse?

It's just not right and she will NOT have my vote. And her BEGGING her competitors to keep quite on her Cat Daddy of a husband problem won't do. She must take us all as fools. The junk is out the trunk and THOUSANDS if not MILLIONS will NOT vote for Hillary or her CAT DADDY Husband!

Just talking about it makes me feel dirty!

You're right. Much better that we vote for Guliani or McCain, because the person doing the cheating is so upstanding.

If that were Hillary's only vulnerability, I could look past it. She is a total sociopath. The will say or do anything to anyone to get what she wants.

She didn't care about Bill's affairs. He has his girlfriends, she has hers.

Hillary has more important concerns than where William is sticking his cactus. She is preparing to restore our country and guide it for the next 8 years.

I think the real question should be will she cheat the American people? Will she lie to appease her big money sponsors? Will she take frequent trips to Israel to cozy up to their leaders and seek their approval on American affairs like most of them do? Will she cheat the American people by not being honest and admitting her mistakes? Bill Clinton was forced to admit his mistake-but he did. Not once has she admitted she was wrong by voting for war with Iraq and also voting to give King George a free ticket to ride.
