is there any other way to be at the dentist? ......I usually have a good old-fashioned Valium....

No I don't like being drugged at the dentist. I don't like the dentist even when my mouth is frozen on one side and I can't feel anything on that one side of my mouth.

well, it does provide a barrier between my sensations and the pain, and the thought of being doped doesn't scare me. you feel disoriented for a little bit, but if you cannot handle any sort of pain at all, then it's a good option. if you have a high pain tolerance, then it might just be unnecessary. i've gotta high pain tolerance, the only time i've been drugged at the dentist's was when they filled my cavities and extracted my widsom teeth - i don't think you have a choice to refuse the anesthesia, it would KILL.

Never been drugged at the dentist ..
but i always like it when my stepsister gets drugged at the dentist!
then she dont annoy me half as much!

I like the Novocaine and things like that, but not drugged like being put to sleep. That scares me anywhere, but I couldn't handle the dentist without Novocaine!

Yes I do. There isn't a drug that could take you hearing away so that you couldn't hear the drill.

I like nitrous. I don't like the needle filled with novocain in my gums, although I do appreciate my teeth being numbed, so I'd rather have the shot than not have it.
The the gas is wonderful.
