is it boring? is lynchburg, roanoke, lexington, charlotesville, and farmville, and richmond boring? Not looking for a beach, just a nice southern change of scenary than mean NY lol

you can always find things to do.
there are not noises like in NY and nightspots close at 2am, except a very few afer hours clubs.
you need a car to get around.
everything is pretty far comparing to NY, no grocery stores on every corner opened 24/7, alcohol is sold only in ABC stores that have short working hours.

Oh mi gosh.. we lived there for 4 years I loved it there!! They have the Shenadoah Mountains, caves to explore, Williamsburg has Busch Gardens, Richmond has a huge amusement park too, Virginia Beach is absolutely smooth and the water is warm.. not like CA beaches were the water is a steady 55 degrees most of the year.
