Trust me, I'm not a big fan of war by any means, but I do see the Grey in what most people only see as a Black or White issue. Should we have "stayed out of it" when Hitler was killing all the Jews? Yes, many bad things have happened, but some good has come out of it too. They have helped many people over there. There has also been reports where they say the people yell at the soldiers to go home, but then sneak up to them and secretly thank them. Do you think they would say out loud, "we are so glad you're here!", so they can get their heads blown off? Don't get me wrong, it's also horrible to have so many soldiers dying and suffering, coming back with mental problems, missing legs, disfigured. I wish we didn't have war either, I wish the way you can resolve every problem in the world would be to just sit down and talk about it. Maybe someday.........

CNN is by no means a independent polling entity that I would trust. You have to be in the country to see how the women and children and yes men cry and thank the US for being there. We need to come home. I agree. However if we just leave them there without building up their own police departments and their own trusted military we are just walking away and admitting defeat. I guess it would be better to pull out and let another terrorist or a weaker government take over. Then in about 5 years we bury another 4 thousand people from another terrorist attack in the US. MOST LIKELY TRAINED AND SUPPORTED BY THE GOVERNMENT WE LEFT IN IRAQI. We don't make them worship a different god. We don't make them take off their traditional garb. We don't force TACO BELL on them. What we do is make it safe for families especially the kids to go to school and play in the neighborhoods again. I don't really think the Iraqi way of life or the type of government was necessarily bad. What I think was bad was the people in power using that power to kill their own people and torture families and husbands because they asked why their president did certain things. Have you seen what Hussein's sons have done to people? When his boys wanted to date girls in school they would have their body guards get ride of or even kill the girls current boyfriends. Then they would rape the girls. The sons even killed one of their fathers best friends. The sons had hangars full of expensive cars from around the world. Yet the children and mothers died from starvation. If a father talked back and demanded food or better treatment from his government, he basically had just committed himself to death. The father, Saddam, even used chemical gas to kill thousands of his own people in his country. Lets see! What would I choose?

Bush doesn't want the new Iraqi government to fall apart so he's staying until he feels they are strong enough to stop the terrorist activity. He doesn't want another dictatorship to rule there which would probably support terrorism and be a threat to us like Saddam was.

Well Bush would say that we need to say but personally we shouldn't have gone in the first place. We have destroyed their way of life and ruined many peoples lives
