In the summertime when you look on the weather e.g. Bahrain, Qatar etc, they say the minimum (at night) is about 31-35 celsius in the summer.....Isnt it suppose to be very cold at night in countries with a desert?

Not always - how cold a desert gets depends on several factors. In the summer, day length is long, meaning the desert doesn't have as much time to cool off. Also, deserts closer to oceans or other bodies of water, especially in summer, are more likely to stay pretty warm because of the moderating effect of that water body. That's certainly true for places like Bahrain and Qatar, near the Gulf.

no it depends more on lattitude, deserts near the equator are going to be hot day and night, and elevation, deserts near sea level will be hot like around the salton sea, high deserts like the mojave (both in southern california) can have snow storms. Qatar is both low and only 25 degree north latitude.

It depends on where the desert is and also on what season it is winter or summer time. Deserts are still subject to the seasons.
