theres a chance i might be having an operation on my back because my back is 43 and 50 degrees. i would like to know what happened before your operation and after and how long you stayed in the hospital. and if you could tell me if you were embaressed of going to the beach with a scar on your back. and how big was your scar?

30 days or so prior to my surgery I started banking my own blood, my doctor suggested I have 6 units. I was able to give 1, but the others came from the generous donations of friends and coworkers. The day of my operation, I went to the hospital and they checked me in, took a urine sample and two tubes of blood. The anesthesiologist came and talked to me. I was wheeled to a room where they did my IV, then wheeled to the OR. The anesthesiologist asked me if I had a good dream all picked out and 10 seconds after that I was sleeping. I was in the hospital a total of 7 and a half days. My scar is about a foot and a half long, going from my bra line to the top of my butt crack. I am not embarrassed of my scar, I choose to see at more of a reminder of the strong person I really am. I have a little pain still and am taking 6 ibuprofen a day. you have nothing to worry. Before the operation,they will tell you what thier going do to you. After,you have to stay just a couple of days,not to long.I wasnt embrassed.its ok to have a scar on your back.if people stare at you,just ignore them.They dont know why you have that scar on your back.Not to worry,after the surgery you will be sore.But after a few weeks you should be ok.
