i lived with my boyfriend of 3 years we love each other but my 19 year old daughter lives on dorm and comes home weekends and will be home for the summer the problem thay dont get along. she wanted to lock the bottom lock at night,he acts like its a big deal. i ask him about it and he tells me she needs to grow up. i cant deal with the upset of it all so i pack up and moved back to my home town with my other daughter,no job no home for now this isnt the first dissagement nor would it have been the last im sure

This is a tough one... You may want to think about family counseling, so if there is an argument it can be talked out instead of yelled out... This really does help, having someone who does not judge be in the middle of your disagreement!

I think you made the right choice your daughter has the right to feel safe and if he cant understand that then there is something wrong with him and you dont need a creep like that

i hate to say it but your daughter has to respect you and also your boyfriend, right should not have to choose, but your daughter need to know the ground rules and also your boyfriend knew what he was getting into when he met you. i think that all three of u need to sit down and talk about the situation, because if u dont this will never end.

You did the right thing. You were setting a bad example for your daughters by shacking up with that guy anyway.

I agree.... with the other guy.... there is something you're leaving out or she is or he was??? I don't blame you for leaving though... sounds like it was rough... And Me personally, My kids will always come first, till the day I die...
