It is okay but your opinion may vary depending on whether you read the book or not? Most people who read the book were not pleased with the movie adaption. They felt some of the changes made by Hollywood did not hold true to the book, an example is how quickly the dragon grew to become an adult. The book took sometime and developed the dragon into maturity but with the magic of Hollywood, the dragon flapped its' wings a few times while in the cloud and presto instant adult dragon (kinda like just add water and wait).
The special effects are safely good with the possibility of bordering on great. The plot is entertaining but not impressive. If you like sci-fis or fantasy and just want to kill a couple of hours watch this movie.

I thought it was only okay. A friend of mine who had read the book saw it and she thought it was rubbish. I hadn't read the book, but I thought it was sort of boring to be honest. There wasn't any action until the very end, where the trailers made it seem like it was action-packed, full of dragons. It comes out on DVD tomorrow, and it's been out of the theaters long enough now that there are tons of other new movies that people are talking about.

I liked it! The reason why no one ever talks about it anymore is because it showed about 4 months ago and there have been more interesting movies that have come out since.

I never liked it in the first place. It was almost a ttly different story from the book. Everything that happened, happened for the wrong reasons. No one really talked about it in the first place, so no, its not cool.

It sucked, it's as simple as that. They took to much creative liberty and strayed just far enough from the original story to stick to the basic plot.

unfortunately, they butchered the book. It had some good parts, but basically sucked.

i have never seen it but i heard it wasnt that great. i saw preveiws and it looked like bad acting...
