My husband is a victim of identity theft, only his DL # and Name and DOB are being used by a person to get traffic violations, so we think if he changes his name this person would be giving the officer the incorrent information and get caught, but how do we get his name changed?

Typically not as easy as people think. You can generally contact your office of vital statistics in your state for info or go to the state courts website for information. You will typically have to make a motion to the court (to a judge) who will have to approve the change. With the motion you will provide an affidavit that explains why you want the change. Good luck and sorry about the ID Theft.
