If robert sputh invented beer mat's and douglas englebart invented the Computer mouse who ACTUALLY invented the mouse mat that the computer mouse sit's on?and When?

The original Mouse Mat or "Tray" was created by Douglas Englebart in 1968.

The mats as we know them today were created by Armando M. Fernandez in 1979, although the fabrics used to make them have changed over the years as new techniques/technologies have come out.
