I think 16-18 is the norm, based on when I was in high school. I didn't have sex until a few months before I turned 19, and I had a few opportunities.

Age is not the issue. There is no magic age however I do think 13 is a little young. Make sure you really like/love the person you are getting involved with. Don't just give yourself away. Believe that you deserve a really great guy.
If you find someone that makes you laugh and you enjoy them and think your in love then go for it.
Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the
tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid
of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from
the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think
something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just
have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to
climb all the way to the top of the tree. Share this with women who are good
apples, even those who have already been picked!
Now Men.... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to
women to stomp the **** out of them until they turn into something
acceptable to have dinner with.

I think the age girls should lose their virginity is the age they get married. Girls are being used over and over again by guys. They are getting reputations and diseases. They think that its love but its just "sex" to the guys. I wish they would realize this before its too late and they wind up not having anyone or they die because of a disease.

Most people in the USA lose their virginity between the ages of 16-22. Your friend's behavior is NOT normal.
