Once upon a time there was an ancient Greek king named Pyrrhus . Who in 280 BC defeated the Roman army at a place called Heraclea and a place called Asculum.
The cost to Pyrrhus's army huge and in fact devastating. In victory Pyrrhus's army actually managed to lose more soldiers than the defeated Romans's did.
Someone, perhaps a general, congratulated Pyrrhus on his great victory .Pyrrhus's now immortal response was " If I have another such victory then surely all is lost "
To this day as such a victory is called a Pyrrhic victory.
Barry Bonds would do well to read that story and learn from it. Barry Bonds would do well to be a man and simply walk away from the game while he still has his dignity intact and and still has the faint hope of getting into the Hall of Fame .
If he choses not to and gets all those records then he will forever be a shunned man. Decent folks will not acknowledge him nor allow their children to. Decent folks will cast their eyes down when he walks past
and old Pyrrhus will laugh at him

Everyone says he's a cheater but he was an all star before the 70 hr season in fact he was on pace to get into the hall of fame WITHOUT THE 70 hrs. He has over 5 MVP trophies and All Star selections, but everyone says he cheated from the 70hr season. Unlike Mark McGuire he's numbers are worthy of a Hall of Fame status and he is still belting home runs unlike Sosa when the drug testing came into affect. Check his stats before the 2000 season and you'll see he was a great player.

None, Barry Bonds is a steroid user. If you do not believe it there is a book that is out that talks about Barry Bonds, BALCO, and the other athletes that were involved in the steroid scandal. The book is Game of Shadows by Mark Fainaru-Wada and Lance Williams. If you want to find out more information about the steroid scandal, then you should check out this book.

I hope to goodness he breaks none of them. The only "milestone" I'm interested in is when he finally admits the obvious and has the class and decency to walk away from the game he besmirches every time he stuffs his oversized cranium into a batting helmet. That will be a milestone worth noting.

I hope that he breaks a leg this year. And I mean early this year. He needs to be shut down for good. Nobody who cheats should be allowed to share in the glory of being a great baseball player. He didn't play the game honestly so he doesn't deserve any record. And on top of that he has a horrible attitude. He speaks one word--asshole

None - I have no interest in someone like Barry whatsoever. It's not just the roids issue either. It is his arrogance and lying along with it. So many players have done or are doing steroids or other things they shouldn't be, it would be unfair to dislike him for just that.

The home run record and 3000 hits will clinch his legacy as long as there's no positive steroid test.
