My friend recently told her current boyfriend she loves him, but deep down she's not "in love" with him and now she needs advice. I've never been in her situation before so I have no idea what to tell her. All I can say is "you should have been honest" but I know it's not helping...

My daughters are always saying that to their boyfriends, even if they just started seeing each other. Of course they are only 12 and I tell them they don't know what love is yet and they shouldn't just throw those words around like they mean nothing. She should just tell him she loves him as a friend but she's not in love with him. There is a difference. Good-luck to your friend.

sad to admit, but yes.
but that was when i was 14 and didn't really know what love meant. i guess at the time i did, but looking back, i really didn't. goes to show you how much life teaches you along the way...

Nope. Everytime I say I love you to someone they either betray me, die in my bed, or beat me up.
