Given that Thomas Aquinas became renowned for his rational approach to defining God, I am certain he felt reason and experience were neccessary to find the truth. However, the aspects that he attributes to God are ethereal in nature; such that they cannot be measured by even modern-day methods. Thus, I would suggest that Thomas Aquinas would insist upon adding faith to the list.

Aquinas believed "that for the knowledge of any truth whatsoever man needs Divine help, that the intellect may be moved by God to its act."

Not all of them. Plato, Socrates, Aristotle, the Christian Thinkers(including St. Thomas Acquinas), and Kant believed reason is all we need to clearly see truth..
And practically speaking, St. Thomas Acquinas wouldn't have agreed with your proposition due to the fact that he was a pioneer in trying to prove the existence of God, and the Holy Trinity, without having to experience Him using our senses, but in fact we could find truth using our reasons.

I don't know about Aquinas, but I wouldn't agree. All you need to find truth is the *NEED TO FIND IT*.
If you really really want to know, you will look and you will find.
Good luck!

it all depends on how far he believed a man can do this without the help of god. the statement is without god. he would have tried to include a way stating it with a bit more respect for the almighty. like god, reason, and, experience are all we need to find truth.

faith is a lot from the resign of reason. Many familiar philosophers have been adult males of religion,St. Thomas Aquinas, Kierkegaard, Augustine, Jaspers, the checklist is going on! somewhat, faith is a bounce one takes this is GUIDED with the help of reason. additionally, faith has this is roots in earthly issues as nicely! Take love, case in point. No notice can properly articulate it, nor might any action even wish to totally make love time-commemorated with the help of the two the sweetheart and the loved, Love is area to have faith in. yet we don't have faith in love because of the fact we lack adequate reason, somewhat, we have faith in love because of the fact a chain of strikes factors in the direction of the process affection. genuine love might nicely be made flesh in elementary terms in this is end result, merely as, in keeping with risk God, may be time-commemorated with the aid of his end result, the introduction of the planet Earth. faith is the compass we use while melancholy snow blinds us. this is the sense of instinct utilized while caught on my own in the darkness. it rather is an attempt to hold close the absurd utilising our constrained human mind, and customarily, faith options up the place reason on my own fails.

I agree. It's one thing to read about an incident, but it is another to actually experience it. You see it at its greatest point. And it's always when your at your weakest. Someone may give you opinions, when another has lived it through facts.

you can explain anything using reason and truth, if you think of any situation you can apply reason and truth to it. it's all how you see it.
i don't know if that makes sense, i know what I'm trying to say, but I'm not sure if it came out right.

thats because anything that didn't come from you is borrowed, so to find your own truth you have to do it. anything you learn from college isn't truth, its borrowed info that you remember, same goes for any religious teaching you hear, that means you have a good memory if you remember it all, not that you actually know anything for yourself. people go to bible study to learn concepts...nothing of truth at all, same for school like i said.
