No because pounce describes an action...Onomatopoeia's are actual sounds...examples are "BANG!" or "CRASH!" or..."moooo!" etc...

No, because "pounce" is an action, not a sound. If your cat pounces on a mouse, you hear a thump or a squeak or a thud, but you don't hear a something that starts with a "puh" sound or ends with "ounce" sound.
