Just like any other drug marajuana has some effects on the human body. Mostly though the effects are acute (temporary and fast). The paper cited below states the effects of weed as
" Although robust acute effects of marijuana were found on subjective and physiological measures, and on smooth pursuit eye tracking performance, no effects were evident the day following administration, indicating that the residual effects of smoking a single marijuana cigarette are minimal."

The key word being minimal. Depending on the frequency smoked they can have some of the same residual effects as smoking cigarettes such as a chronic cough. Inhaling carbon (smoke) from any source isn't haelthy in high doses. However organically grown weed should have less chemicals than any cigarette and therefore be "healthier".

There has been some research showing that mj can have detrimental effects on te male reproductive system. The paper referenced below outlines one of these studies. I that that the adverse effects are no different than than smoking cigarettes would bring and posssibly less.

I wonder where you can sign up for these studies? :)

Increases the synaptic gap, so that acetylcholine takes longer, or fails, to cross between nerve endings.

Long term use has been associated with increase in schizophrenia, depression, other mental conditions. However, some believe that these conditions can lead to increased use of marijuana, so it is a chicken and egg situation here. But evidence is leaning towards the drug being the cause, rather than the effect, of these conditions.

Marijuana use has been cited as a cause of male impotence, probably due to its effect on nerve cells (see my first statement). But if sex is not important to you, then this should not be a problem.

well, there isn't exactly a whole lot of research done on this topic. but what is known, is that the short term memory is greatly handicapped but that goes away when you stop smoking. if you exercise in any way, then there is really no adverse affect to the resperatoey system. if you smoke a cigarette, then you damage your lungs period. as for the reproductive system, you may to too high to keep it up, or even be interested, but thats about it.

Gets them 'high'. No permanent damage has been found. A blunt is made with cigar tobacco, or so I've been told. So the cigar tobacco might cause you to act a like something you're not. (?) What is a 'blunt'? Like an instrument of like 'blunt force trauma"?
