I am doing some testing on an application I have built, and want to see how it behaves when viewed through a slower internet connection. I am running IE 6 on windows XP.

this won't be precise but if you have other computers on the network you could access streaming videos at high bandwith or do several downloads from another PC...this would have the effect of slowing down your connection.

Try connecting through a dialup.

you might be able to configure a fire wall to slow it down but I have never really gave this question much thought..

netlimiter -> not free but can use trial version
