I can actually answer that.

For here: $2400 if you have a c-section. That's everything up to labor and a postpartum check-up. It includes 96 hours in the hospital.

There's also about a $500 cost for anthesia and a $3000 hospital fee. We also have to pay a $150 entrance fee to get into the hospital.

For us it costs $20/visit/child.

Also you have to think about:
--Circumscision? $150
--NICU? up to $10,000/day

That's in Kansas and at Olathe Medical Center.

Well, my daughter was born Nov of 2005 and it was well over $25,000 for our hospital stay. As for prenatal care, you go about once every month for about 7 months at about $125 per visit. Then you go once very two weeks at the same price. Dr. visits for a baby cost about the same as a prenatal visit. Hope this helps.

Most of the answers you are looking for vary depending on several factors. Such as, 3 days of hospitalization would depend on what type of room you have, private, semi private, or ward. The cost of doctor visit would depend I would guess on what the child is visiting for. I would say that you call your local hospital or health unit and talk to someone who can accurately answer your questions.

I think the hospitalized part costs about $18,000-that's what my friends bill said. That is the full price without insurance though. I don't know about the other stuff though.

For an extra extra credit, in the UK and many other European countries it is free at the point of delivery. It is paid for through taxation.

I just got out all of my bills from my daughters birth in January of 2006. (I live in Wisconsin)

My prenatal care cost my insurance company $3669.12. I payed out of pocket $317.61
An ultrasound cost my insurance company $333.20 (i had three) I payed out of pocket $100.00 for all three.
My delivery and room cost my insurance company (for 3 days) $5581.21. I payed out of pocket $380.40.
My anesthesia during delivery cost the insurance company $1190.00. I payed out of pocket $119.00
My daughters stay in the hospital cost the insurance company $2141.36. (this was a routine stay) I payed out of pocket $142.18
My daughters ped. visits in the hospital cost the insurance company $619.16. I payed out of pocket $32.00.
My daughters checkups w/ immunizations cost the insurance company $478.55. I payed $15.00.

When its all said and done w/out insurance i would have roughly paid $14,200 for the prenatal care, delivery/hospital stay, and my daughters hospital stay. Then add about $2,390 for pediatric routine baby care visits through out the first year of life.
With my insurance I only ended up paying roughly $1,200 for the prenatal care, delivery/hospital stay, and my daughters hospital stay. I only paid $75 for the pediatric routine baby care visits through out the first year of life.
Hope this helps
