I don't know about classics, but "Crown Duel" and "Court Duel" by Sherwood Smith are two of my all time favorites. The protagonist is a fiesty teenage female in medieval times and it's her story through a few of her years growing up as she falls in love with her enemy. (Court Duel is more romantic, but you need to read Crown Duel first to understand the characters and circumstances)
Two other WONDERFUL books are (if you like vampires) "Twilight" (first book) and "New Moon" (second book) by Stephanie Meyer. I could NOT put these books down. AMAZING. A third book is coming out either this fall or next year. I can't remember, but you should read them. They get your emotions going everywhere. :-D
