I don't know many Hawaiian people.
I know some Filipinos--they're cool. As a group, I reckon they're about as good or bad as anybody else, though I will say they tend to be pretty attractive. Maybe the ugly ones are in hiding, I don't know.
Like, when I was an exchange student in Mexico, my host mother said that Puerto Ricans must be gorgeous because, hey, look at Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez!
I had to burst her bubble and say they don't all look like pop stars.
Soooo...I don't really have a lot to go on as far as Hawaiians. Guess I oughta get a little further west than Mexico.

Well when I lived there, nobody spoke proper English, only pidgin, even the high school teachers I had, they all wore slippers(flip flops) even to formal occasions, they all like to smoke pakalolo(weed), don't forget rice with every meal, oh and they aren't very punctual everything works on "island time" oh and the women were either butt ugly or absolutely gorgeous, no middle of the road.

I live in New York, and I haven't encountered any Hawaiian stereotypes. I have encountered black stereotypes, white stereotypes, latino stereotypes, Indian stereotypes, Native American stereotypes (usually regarding life on reservations and alcohol), and probably more that I can't currently remember. But no Hawaiian stereotypes.

There was originally because their technology and society were less developed than the Europeans who "discovered" them.
But I don't think there's much of that now.

If I remember rightly, the main problem was their limited conversation.
"Book him Danno, murder one".
