I've found that you really have to pick the right categories for good, well meaning answers. Stay away from the categories where hatred and prejudice exist. Simply ignore the stupid and spiteful answers. Their answer really says more about them and their attitude, than it will about you. People who can't be civil with an open mind really havn't grown up yet. Ignore them and find good questions in a category that interests you. Good Luck.

Honestly, I think It's mostly stupidity, ignorance, and above all anonymity. Think about it, all they have to do is get behind a keyboard and they can be the "tough guy" they want to be - yet the things they say, would never be whispered in their day to day life. I think theyre afraid of the people they hate. >.>

i like to think of it like that sometimes. there's something satisfying to coming home from school...braindead and weary from a long run for track...
and then getting online to rip people's opinions to pieces! mwahahaha!
im sorry, im really not that malevolent, but some people are just nuts man. i hate to make such a vast comparison, but its kinda like war, except the casualties are yur self esteem, self image, blah blah blah, and such.

dont take it to heart, they are just letting the hair of their oppinions down, its political correctness that has caused it.
people can hardly speak these days or tell even a joke. political correctness is a sure fire way of creating a tinder box of frustrated oppinions rearing to brake free.
