Well period pains are contractions so you're having contractions...which means you're having either false labor or labor. You should definitely get checked.

Sounds like Braxton-Hicks contractions, since they've been going on for a week. Your body is just in the very earliest stages of labor, but you're probably not ready to deliver yet. When the contractions get to the point that they're five minutes apart, it's time to get to the hospital; if you live a long way, opt for the 10-minute mark.

telephone the maternity unit or your midwife and bypass and get examined, decrease back soreness and era like cramps are both an indication of early labour, in case you get stabbing or sharp pains, time them and note how a procedures between they're too, may nicely be your contractions. Lie on your left with a pillow between your legs, drink a lot of water and per chance get a warm water bottle or your companion to grant you a rub down, or sit down on all fours and sway your bum from area to area, this can ease the soreness a touch, or a most suitable warmth bath :) sturdy success...Im 32 weeks now, roll on the labour time :) xx

Yes its normal. Happend to me too. If they are constant and not stoping and coming every so often(which is contractions) then its just your body preparing for labor. And your baby might be dropping lower into the pelvis area which is a good sign that your close to giving birth in the next couple weeks! :)
Your body is going to cramp a lot as the baby moves down.

You are probably having Braxton Hicks contractions.
Normal!
It's the body practicing for the big show.
However, at 37 weeks, you are considered full term- you could deliver at any time.
Stay in close contact with your doctor - call her right now in fact. Don't be afraid to ask her to see you just to calm your nerves.

They aren't "period" pains. They are labor pains. Your body is getting ready for the birth of your baby by slowly stretching your muscles. You will know if your contractions mean true labor if they steadily get stronger and stronger and closer together. Then it is time to get to the hospital.

sweetie this sounds like the stronger braxton hicks contractions, as long as you do not start bleeding i would just keep an eye on them.If they become closer together than time them and phone your Dr with the ifno, you could be going into labor, good luck and best wishes
