Athletes get what the market bears. In general, Athletic Teams generate large revenues (especially the popular pro sports, such as NBA, NFL, MLB), so the Athletes asking for a fair share of that revenue isn't really so upsetting.
Let's face it - if I make a product that my boss can make millions on, is it fair for me to only be paid $10.00 an hour?
I view Professional Athletes just like I view Movie Stars - they're ENTERTAINMENT. They don't get paid because they're talented, they get paid because they're ENTERTAINING.

They have to get paid a lot. There bodies are going to wear out before anyone else's. Leaving them penniless if they are not careful.
Most of those jocks do not have a education to back them up as well. Usually it is these kids that get a free ride in school.
So just think of it as they have to make the money while they can....while there bodies hold up anyhoo...

Noboby deserves to get paid 10 Million dollars a year to play a game sorry. You ask any player when they were young, they all said if i could make it to the pro's i would play for free. The owners get greedy, so the players get greedy.

Actually I don't mind. These guys prance around showing off their bling, cars, etc... only to be broke when it's over.
Most only have a street education which they can put back to use later to sell crack.
