babies, when they get sick: men or women???
MEMO TO WOMEN: Please do not attempt to slander or libel we men by promoting that "old wives' tale" about how we become big, whiny babies when we get just a little bit sick. That's just balderdash. And poppycock (if I can even say that on YAHOO!Answers).

It does depend on the person. I'm a huge baby when I get sick, and my husband takes care of me. Lots of "Honey, can you get me a _____?" I warned him about this, otherwise I'm a very functional person. When he get sick I just have to guess what he needs because he won't ask for help I have to ask "Do you want another blanket/drink/ice pack, or food?"
So it does go both ways at least in this family.

ok, you asked for our opinion but then told us not to answer that men are the ones? I'm confused... with the people in my life I'd have to say the men are bigger babies, I have 3 older brothers and they all complain about being sick way more then I ever have! BUT, when I am really sick (like in bed rest) I really milk it and make sure EVERYONE feels for me!

I'd say men women seem to be able to tolerate pain more, probably because of childbirth, this is why they can take hotter showers and drink their coffee while it's scalding hot
if i get a cold/flu then several months later my wife catches one she will say that i gave her the flu?

I've been married 3x's, and I can tell you that MEN are the biggest babies when ill. I'm also a nurse, and see men, and women going through the same surgeries, women by far surpass the men. They get up faster, and move better. Men are the weaker sex. Sorry guys, you're great in other ways though. ~~~~

I know I'm a really big baby when I'm sick. My hubby isn't quite as bad as I am but he's still pretty bad.
