I was a very conservative person before my roller coaster ride on IVF. I kept reminding myself of the reason i was their and thinking about the end result, so that i didn't think about all the males that i was bearing myself too.
I know it's very uncomfortable for you but hang in their and remind yourself why you are their.
I wish you every success.

I sympathize with you feeling uncomfortable about a male Dr but speaking as someone who has gone through ivf, you'll get part way through the treatment and feel like the world and his wife have seen your insides anyway! LOL Don't let it worry you too much although if you really feel you need to see a female it shouldn't make any difference to you wait.

Ask for a female nurse to be in there with you or if thats too uncomfortable for you request a female dr- its your right, however if you want a babes that bad, a male dr is the least of your worries!!
wishing you all the very best

I was really uncomfortable with my doctor being a male, but there aren't many women in the RE field, so I had no choice. You will get used to it, although there can be some awkward moments.

It shouldn't scupper your chances if you just ask. If you can't have a female consultant ask for a female nurse to be present, most clinics do this now to protect themselves against any claims of sexual assault. Good luck:)
