Robutssin is what they recommend. Sudafed if needed. Those are about the only things that might help. Lots of liquids to thin the mucous too. Good Luck. Mom to 3.

I'm 4 months pregnant, and when I was sick I took Sudafed which really helped. My doctor also advised me Tylenol, Robitussin and throat lozenges are fine. Hope she feels better. But at 36 weeks, she may want to double check with her doctor about the Tylenol, because in the last trimester I don't believe its permissible to take that one.

Here is a non med way. Get her a vapor plug from sudacare. And also some tea meds are not safe while pregnant. If she can stand in the shower or even sit on a plastic chair, those shower soothers are great. You put it down on the shower floor and breathe in the vapors.

You should ask the doc, but when I was pregnant, I was allowed to take any and all Tylenol products (including Tylenol Cold) and PLAIN Robitussin. No DEs or CFs or whatever, just plain Robitussin.

Benadryl and tylenol is 100% safe for her to take.
And if she is having trouble sleeping she can take Tylenol Pm before bedtime.
Oh and lots and lots of water. She might be getting dehydrated because shes sick.

I hope she gets better!

regular sudafed, not the new formula. She may have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter. Tylenol, is not a cold remedy and tylenol cold is not one I know ifor sure is safe. best bet is for her to check witht he nurse at her OB's office.

Benadryl and some tylenol products are ok during pregnancy. She should call her Dr's office and they will tell her what's safe.
