I have a 2004 Grand Prix GTP but it is not the Comp G series, I would like to install the TAP Shift option, however dealers around here are telling me that there isn't an option like that availible for the 2004 Grand Prix, I know the Competition G 2004's have the tap shift, does anyone out there know what parts I would need to get to replace the old parts and what all would be involved in switching them out?

I answer your question with a question, why would you want a tapshift, I had a Saab as a rental car with a tap shift, and dont get me wrong it was fun for a day, but after a while it is NO longer woth the money or the effort, plus the car, being as new as it is is loaded with safety features, and they will not let you redline or foget to shift, it will shift for you, plus there is a lage, if you press the shift, it takes a few seconds before it engages.

Good luck

I'm thinking you might want to sell your car and buy one with the TAP shift in it already. I wouldn't want to even think about trying to install afterwards...
