Can someone explain to me why a disproportionate amt. of actors/celebrities are so adamant about animal rights

compared to the general population, a realistic answer???
it doesn't make sense. i understand most are educated or rich, but I'm educated and I still am not compassionate about animal health or welfare... although i am not ignorant of it.

its an easy cop out for them instead of doing something valuable for humanity
that way they can say they are doing charity without actually doing anything productive

Way too much time on their hands - they all need to get real jobs and actually contribute to society.
