It just goes to show the mentality of your average Bush supporter. People who support Bush are just as stupid and negligent as the man himself.

LOL, it's obvious they have the running tape in their heads on pause or skip. They can't possibly comprehend that their 'leader' is worse than Clinton ever was. I'm not even a democrat and I can see that as a fact. Bush has made a mockery of the Constitution, Habeas Corpus, of the nation's treasury, of the nation's sovereignty when it comes to illegals coming into the country, of the victims of the 9/11 attack, of democracy and of the role of the president by lying to the American people and to congress. And, yet they still think he is a great leader. It's amazing how blind they are.
Bush lied to congress about going to war. This is an act of treason and he has gotten away with it. Yet Clinton lied to congress about a B.J. And, they don't even want to acknowledge the huge difference between the two and what it means for our country. Now, don't get me wrong here. I never voted for Clinton. I have other problems with him. But the fact the the cons still harp on Clinton tells me that they have a lot of growing up to do.

I've said it many times in this section. It's the "Wash" defense.

Anytime Bush is criticized for his laundry list of lies and fraud, his side will say "Well, Clinton got a bj.....then lied about it. So we're even......it's a wash".

They did it with Bush's and Kerry's military record. Bush had no defense for his record, so his side said anything they could think of to discredit Kerry's service in the military.......resulting in a wash. The truth is Kerry served, and Bush didn't....but somehow they(Republicans) evened the playing field through the "wash" technique.

Just watch Fox News and see how many times they avoid addressing accusations against the right by teasing Clinton and poking fun at Hillary for her southern accent.

I make references to him because his policies had a direct impact upon the current administration, and some of its activities. I'm also not a Republican. I think that Reagan screwed us over, big time, and didn't care much for the Contract with America crowd that followed after him. They were the precursors to GW Bush's entry, so I wasn't so hot for it, though Gore and Kerry, both, were fairly unimpressive politicians, in my eyes.

In fact, I have the audacity to challenge both the Democrats and Republicans to deliver a candidate that means anything. Not these white washed Maddison & Wall prefabricated glamour boys and girls. I want a politician who'll tell the media to go screw itself. Who won't appologize for every little thing, because they might hurt somebody's feelings. When we wake up and realize that we can't please all of the people all of the time, and that compromise is the way to acheive anything, in our system of government, then, and only then, will we see any candidates worth a crap in this country. They are all two faced vote-whores.

I don't refer to Clinton in any such respect.

I think he did a lot of good things. He cut corporate taxes, he gutted Glass-Steagall, he signed welfare reform, and he expanded free trade agreements.

He also refinanced much of the existing debt with then-lower-rate, shorter-term bonds, thus reducing interest expense, thus reducing the deficit and ultimately producing a surplus (brilliant but I hate when people misrepresent that this had anything to do with hiking the top marginal personal income tax rate).

He also chose not to UNDO a lot of good things that his predecessors had put in place, like 95% of Reagan's tax cuts and his deregulation of transportation, and he continued the deregulation of energy.

I voted Republican in '96 but that was because Kemp was on the ticket. If it were Dole/Dole I might very well have voted for Clinton.

Clinton is in the past. He left office.

And Republicans still live in the past by continually bashing Bill Clinton.

Agreed, his presidency ended 7 years ago. I wish people would get over it already. I wasn't a huge fan of Clinton, but at least I enjoyed a steady job and $1.25 gasoline during his term. I can't say that now.

I guess the idea that having the people of the US pay for him to get sex in the oval office is still a really unbelievable act; I know that I'm still shocked (ML was a government paid for aid). Then the lies to the congressional hearing and getting away with it. Pretty unbelievable.

They have never had a president from their party that was as great as Clinton so they have to keep putting in their digs to make themselves feel better.
