How will medical terminology help me as a medical assistant?

lol are you serious? this is where you learn the latin and greek break down of the words which will help identify words you dont currently know as in conditions a person is suffering from as well as understanding more about what you learned in your anatomy classes like why your thorax is called the thorax and much more and i'm not sure if it's the same for you but they also tuaght some short hand as well i mean think about it if you came across a condtion you never heard of you can break down the word and know what it means from this class and anyways it's not like taking the class will make you dumber so why not really?

I think that it would be important because a person would seem more professional. I also think that a medical person needs to be careful to speak in terms that the average person can understand. Most often being able to communicate well in medical terminology works best when talking with other medical professionals.Anyway that is my openion, having retired from the medical field.

It will make it possible for you to communicate with other medical people if all of you don't talk too fast. Otherwise it won't help you at all.

Same goes for learning English. If a foreigner talks too fast, running his words together, he/she can't be understood.

You will better understand what people are talking about and if you ever need to learn anatomy the muscles and bones are named after alot of latin.

Uh...it would be REALLY HARD to do your job effectively without knowing that.
