i think this is the hardest selection for Mclaren at the moment. There is no doubt questioning robinsons talent, he is just prone to having a bad performance, i also beileve that David James should be given a chance in england after his performances this season, he has played so well he deserves a chance and why he is not in the squad to play andorra and isreal is a mystery. there is no question about scott carson and ben fosters talent and their performances this season for chalton and wotford respectavly have been great for players their age but i dont think they are ready for the england first team. Carson has played v. well for the u'21 team and foster should be given some games under stuart pearce so he can get the feel of international football, not saying that he played badly against spain. having robinson and james in the squad the third place should be filled with chris kirkland who is too old for u'21 and would be gret cover for james and robinson.

in short;
england 1.james 2. robinson 3.kirkland
U'21 1.carson=foster 2. Hart

sorry for any bad spellin and also look out for joe hart who will make a big impact in the coming years at Man city who has already made a breakthroug at the u'21/

the england never had the best goalkeeper so robinson will probably play as number 1

he may be a bit dodgy at times but who else is there? seaman and martyn have retired. james, walker, wright none of the young pretenders ever seem to live up to their predecessors. i think maybe the england coach should pick whoevers on form at the time.
