Humanists believe that there is no god and that the wellbeing of humanity is the guidepost for moral choice.

Maslow is associated with the concept "heirarchy of needs".

he made maslow's hierarchy of needs which says that to become the most mentally stable or happiest person they have to start from the bottom and move up. the bottom is the basic needs like food, water, and shelter. then when a person doesn't need to focus on those they move on to safety such as avoiding predators and dangers. then they move to love and belonging like friends, family relationships. then they move to esteem and feeling confident in themselves. then to self actualization. self actualized people are people like martin luther king and mother theresa (sp sorry) that found what their purposes are in life and stuff. his pyramid isn't proven but it is used.
