If you restore an iPod, it only deletes the songs from your iPod and once you resync it to your computer they will be back. When your iPod has to be restored it has a problem that can't be solved by being reset. So go in iTunes and restore it under your iPod tab when you plug it in. Then it'll erase everything and restore it to how it was when you bought it.

Your iPod.
Any music you have from the iTunes library won't be deleted.

I would say just your iPod not your library.
